Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand the products in depth to be able to identify bottlenecks in code/design/architecture
  • Create solution validation plans for integration, Scalability, Reliability and Performance areas
  • Implement code to streamline automation and reduce cycle times
  • Be a strong advocate of software quality
  • Plan and drive the team to execute interoperability tests, integration tests, and end to end tests
  • Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and training methods
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and release postmortems
  • Partner with engineering teams to stay informed of new technologies being introduced and to ensure that system components are designed for testability.
  • Production, high tier and general troubleshooting support
  • Working with product management and other teams, the candidate will establish new requirements and play a lead role in the design and implementation of features to deliver on this broader vision for EUC products
  • Jump in customer escalations and be able to think at fast pace to solve issue with the product.
  • Act as a thought leader for the team, always focusing on solving problems and implementing solutions
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Master s/Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent education required
  • Solid track record of challenging projects, showing 5- 7 years of experience testing enterprise software
  • Fair networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Understanding of distributed computing and complex multi-tier applications.
  • Excellent client/server and application troubleshooting skills
  • Must have a good understanding of building and operating IT systems and services.
  • Experience of performance analysis, benchmarking, and trouble-shooting including data gathering, scalability testing, and system profiling is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of VMware products Horizon View, Horizon Air, AirWatch gateways will be a plus
  • Familiar with one of the major server virtualization products (preferably VMware ESXi/vSphere)
  • Experience with BDD and/or TDD (Behavior/Test Driven Development) is a plus
  • Good understanding of Linux distros - SuSE Linux preferably
  • Strong understanding of different software development lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM) along with the ability to effectively leverage change management software solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical, problem solving and project management ability
  • Desire to work in an exciting environment, working on interesting projects and delivering new technologies and products to the marketplace.
