VCF integrates compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud management services, including support for modern composable hardware, to create a consistent, and dynamically configurable, infrastructure. We have ambitious goals to expand VCF infrastructure in a way that makes it simpler to run these modern workloads, which are distributed, hybrid, multi- cloud and elastic. That involves turning these full stack infrastructure clusters, hardware(s) plus software(s), into programmable, intelligent, intent-driven software endpoints. deployed, secured, and easily managed at scale, like a software CI/CD pipeline. The infrastructure also reconfigures or maintains itself on ongoing basis, to support these hybrid applications dynamic, elastic needs.We are looking for a talented and seasoned Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in Networking domain, testing Cloud/System Management software to join the vSphere Solutions Interop team.As part of the VMware Cloud Platform Business Unit, you will work on testing Full VCF Stack at VMware s India Center in Bangalore. As a member of the Interop team, you will develop and execute End to End Interop tests, analyse design changes, participate in CI/CD implementations. You will closely work with developers and Solution Architects team within R&D to deliver quality releases in an Agile development environment.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Analyze Interoperability test requirements for the VCF Solution stack.
  • Define Interop test strategies, Test planning activities and execution.
  • Closely collaborate with PMs and Solution architect teams to understand the new Interoperability requirements and engage early in the Development Life Cycle.
  • Working closely with developers to resolve issues, reproduce bugs & perform RCCAs.
  • Reproduce complex Customer problems and learn continuously from the field feedback.
  • Participate in bug triage activities; manage bugs, drive the activities for the bug to get a closure
  • Communicating technical dependencies and concerns/issues effectively
  • Ability to automate and Integration new Interop scenarios in the current Framework. Previous exposure to CI/CD environment is must-have.
  • Training and mentoring junior engineers by providing technical guidance and direction
Requirements:
  • Bachelor s or master s degree in Engineering
  • 9 - 14 years of industry experience with excellent understanding of vSphere & VMWare Solution stack.
  • Solid experience and prior exposure to one of the products in VMWare Solution stack like NSX, vSAN, Horizon View, vRA, vROPs etc.
  • Strong programming proficiency in Java or Python is must have. Candidate with strong Programming background are encouraged to apply.
  • Should have worked on Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins &/or Puppet
  • Should have experience in designing & architecting the technical POCs as and when needed
  • Be organized, self-motivated and proactively manage time and tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to take informed risks as and when necessary & think out of the box.
