In this role you will help design team to achieve its vision To be the Worlds best Customer Consultancy Solution & Integration team We enable BT to do good business, by focussing on three key areas:To uplift our Customer ExperienceTo deliver Design BrillianceTo be Digital LeadersWhat youll be doingA good understanding of the GS portfolio, and appropriate data network products.The impact the role has is up to c. 50k of customer deliveries as an annualized cost to complete value.The role holder is accountable for the operations and deliveries on time and on budget and at the agreed quality for work packages delivered by the individual. In terms of direct relationship with external customers and resolution of critical delivery issues, the job holder has autonomy within agreed limitations.Adopting of BT s strategic choices for Design Tools and Systems.All mission critical IT services are underpinned by these deliveries. Failure to deliver on time and to quality would present customer issues and potentially impact customer trading and operations and will impact RFT performance.In terms of the types of problems faced, these are typically technical issues. The resolution of these requires collaborative working across line of business usually within Technical Design and GCS.This role will play a part in enabling the increased competitiveness of our market facing unit by having a direct impact on the cost to deliver contractsHandling of network design related task in Transition & Transformation and BAU.Creation of BOM, HLD and LLD and expertise in different tools like Ms Office, Ms Visio, and Netformx etc.The candidate would have to work on different network domains like Enterprise, DCs and Remote sites.Would be working on different vendor devices of LAN, WAN, Wireless and Network Security.Accountable for handling of design tasks/ BAU activities on different devices like Router/Switches/Wireless Aps/Wireless Controllers/ Nexus/Load Balancers like F5/WAN optimizer like Riverbed for existing and new customers.Be responsible for requirement gathering, POC, RFP, Network Audit, Impact Assessment and Risk analysis of the network design/task assigned.The role holder will conduct a meeting with different stake holders and would be needed to collect all of the data and requirement to process any tasks assigned to him.The nature of the designer role requires establishment and maintenance of good working relationships with internal, external customers, different vendors or service providers.Would responsible to create or optimize the network design solutions using Automation, Network Programmability, Emerging technologies like SDN, SDWAN etc.Liaising closely with customers to ensure the purpose and scope of the network design is appropriate and does not adversely impact BT s business practices and purpose. Need to support implementation activities and should be ready to handle the escalations.Well also need to see these on your CVSkills required for the jobMust Have:LAN/Switching (.1q, STP, Stacking). Mostly Cisco. QoSWAN/Routing (Static EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), QoS, VPNs (IPSec, GRE, DM-VPN)DC (Nexus, LB etc.) .MPLS L2 VPNCCNP/CCDP or CCNA with different Vendor Certification/ Or equivalent.Almost Must Have:MPLS L3 VPNWLANWAN OptimizationMulticastPython, Yang, XLST or equivalent programming skillsNice to have:SDN and SD LAN,WANSecurityExperience you would be expected to haveCandidate must have the network design experienceCandidate must have experience on different network devices and technologies.He should be well versed with different network tools, terms and topologies.He should have an experience in leading a team of network engineersKnowledge and ability to propose, manage, design and recommend suitable solution strategies in a dynamic and fast moving environment.Eligibility Criteria:As per IJP GuidelinesIf you have an active PIP/Disciplinary sanctions then you cannot apply for a role internally for the duration of that sanction.
