This position is integral to the Global Infrastructure Operations team supporting GE Global Research Infrastructure Network Operations excellence, technology standards and process simplification and robustness at the John F Welch Technology Center.Responsible for network systems design, implementation and ongoing management at JFWTC, focusing on security, availability, performance, redundancy and adherence to GE Global Research Network Reference Architecture.Work closely with global network team for enhancing network operation effectiveness, technical escalations and service improvement.Maintain the highest levels of Network availability, capacity and performance and report out metrics.Leads network and telephony vendors and serves as the primary point of contact for all network operations and initiatives at JFWTC.Establish and maintain robust network documentation.Partner with Enterprise Architecture team and the Network Service Owner to implement network technology related initiatives.Engage with appropriate business partners/ customers for all network initiatives.Coordination with Stakeholders across multiple GE organizations at JFWTC and their parent teams globally, as required.Work with Security teams to ensure the secure design and operations of the JFWTC Network.Partner with Service Owners & PMO team for all ongoing environment upgrade initiatives and related Network design projects.Support other GRC site network initiatives and operations as needed.Participates in annual budget and technology planning discussions; may be called upon to participate in architecture planning and long range strategy discussions.
