The infrastructure engineering team designs delivers and operates large-scale private and public cloud infrastructure for PayPal development and production environments. This is one of the largest hybrid cloud infrastructures in the world and runs on multiple technology stacks. Global Network Services team responsible for architecture, design, and develop a global site network to enable PayPal to serve customers in 200 countries across the globe. We are the team responsible to deliver a global network footprint to deliver uninterrupted services to our customers. As part of our next-generation network transformation journey, we are seeking a seasoned, passionate, and multifaced Network operation lead to join the Global Network Services team at PayPal.Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing and coordinating with n Netops team to ensure that the networking systems run efficiently without interruption.
• Oversees the work of a team to ensure that system requirements have been properly implemented and procedures carefully followed.
• Responsible for informing Management, partners, and peers about network performance and service availability.
• Primarily deals with users, customers, vendors, engineers, and the whole technical team to ensure maximum possible service availability and performance.
• Interface with internal teams, customers, and partners.
• Be a point of escalation from shift engineers and troubleshoot internal/external connectivity issues.
• Provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis where appropriate.
• Drive the network incident, outages, and deep diving to find the root cause and prevention plan.
• Create and define network operation best practices, documentation, and building MOP, SOP for training Juniors.
• Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Coordinate the shift roaster for the Netops team for ensuring the whole network operation shift works in an efficient and effective manner.

Job Requirements

• At least 8+ years of Network operation experience in managing global networks, preferable financial networks space.
• 2+ years of experience in Network Operation Lead role.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals locally and globally across multiple disciplines.
• Deep working knowledge of networking technologies including Layer-2, Layer-3 protocols (xSTP, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN/EVPN, ISIS, MPLS).
• A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks).
• Experience with Network security (ACL, IPSec, VPN, Palo Alto Firewalls).
• A solid understanding of load balancing mechanics (LTM/GTM, F5).
• Experience with white-box switches and network automation development
• Expertise in network operations and troubleshooting methodologies
• Experience with public cloud network enablement
• Demonstrate understanding of various core networking products from industry players.
• Having experience in deploying SD-WAN solutions is a plus
• Having any networking vendors certifications like Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIS is a plus
• Having knowledge of Software Define Networks concepts is a plus
• Bachelor s in computer networks/Science or relevant technical field.
