The charter of the group is to enable external foundry ecosystem to the product design teams across various domains. Design Proof of Concept team has a charter of PPA evaluation for various technology nodes and support the project teams to improve the KPIs (i.e. improve the Physical Design implementation recipes and innovate new methodologies). Another vector is to compare std cell library offering comparison in collaboration with std cell architects - implement various design blocks with different library vendors portfolio offerings and compare the PPA achieved. Such trials are useful to select most optimal std cell collateral. Moreover it serves as a central unit to percolate best design practices and physical design methodologies across various design teams.QualificationsRequired skills Degree(BS/MS) in electronics engineering Experience : 8 to 12 years Strong understanding in the RTL2GDSII flow or design implementation in leading process technologies. Good understanding of the RTL2GDSII concepts related to synthesis, place and route, CTS, timing convergence, layout closure. Expertise on high frequency design methodologies. Good knowledge and experience in Block-level and Full-chip Floor-planning and Physical verification. Working experience with tools like ICC/ICC2, Primetime etc used in the RTL2GDSII implementation. Strong knowledge and experience in standard place and route flows ICC2/Synopsys flows preferred. Well versed with timing constraints, STA and timing closure. Good automation skills in PERL, TCL, tool specific scripting on one of the industry leading Place and Route tools. Ability to multi-task and flexibility to work in global environment. Good communication skills and strong motivation for customer support.
