This role is ideal for a dynamic, proactive individual with excellent communications skills - this role will involve the management of a wide spectrum of communication activities including but not limited to PR, internal communication campaigns, community relations and crisis communications. You must have experience across PR, internal comms, and marketing communications. While you will have the support of agencies, this role is a hands-on role.Working in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible for measuring, maintaining and improving the quality of our outreach, in the process working with internal operations, technology and business teams as needed. You must have first-class copy-writing and proof-reading skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You should have the experience to tell stories and to craft internal communications plans.Candidates who think on their feet, delight in innovative yet effective solutions should apply.The role requires the person to manage and influence at a high level and at the same time is able to dive really deep in to processes and systems, needing to be completely hands-on when required.Some of the key result areas include, but not limited to: He / She will be responsible for working with key stakeholders including but not limited to business heads to develop a media relations plan for transportation milestones and practices He/she will be responsible for managing stakeholder communication internally He/ She will be responsible for execution of the plan and use agencies appropriately He/ She will be responsible for prudently managing the budgets allocated This role involves influencing peers and stakeholders in other functions to achieve the operational and communication goals assigned The person will be point of contact for the transportation business and must therefore be comfortable and confident liaising with multiple teams and senior leaders. The ideal candidate actively seeks to understand Amazon s core business values and initiatives, and translates those into everyday practices The candidate will report to the Worldwide Director of Transportation PR based in Seattle, Wash., and must have a desire to work autonomously and as a strong in-country owner, Basic QualificationsEducation / Background/ Work experience Bachelors degree required, a post graduate degree or diploma in communications is preferred 12 years of work experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Skilled in ensuring a collaborative management environment, succeeding through regular meetings and clear formal and informal communication with members of various teams. Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel Self driven and ability to be both strategic and execution oriented Preferred Qualifications Past Experience of working in businesses that have warehousing and or managing shop floor related communications Handled agencies and managed teams Experience with e-commerce, retail or process operations would be an advantage
