Senior Principal Software EngineerISG-CEE team is looking for a hands-on, passionate, results-oriented, inventive software engineer to work in the ISG-CEE team. Candidates should understand software development, have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, be able to deliver quick fixes for hot issues, have excellent communication skills, and be eager to improve product quality and reliability.The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies, and the collaboration of internal and external partners.Join us as a Senior Principal Software Engineer on our ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage)/SDP (Streaming Data Platform) Customer Experience Engineering team in Bengaluru to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieveAs a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will join a high-performing team to build cutting-edge streaming data platforms and object storage products and solutions that will transform people s daily lives. You will work with core development, product management, support, pre-sales teams to deliver top solutions for real-world requirements on ECS/SDP products.You will:

  • Troubleshoot customer issues, work with component owners to resolve real-world issues, deliver hotfixes
  • Design and build configurable and scalable tools to support software troubleshooting
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support the product outside of business hours
  • Be responsible for the development of high-quality code solutions for our valued customers.

  • Bachelor, master s degree in computer science or equivalent areas.
  • 12+ years experience in escalation engineering and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Cloud Storage.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale software architectures.
  • Expert knowledge of at least one modern scripting language: shell, python, etc
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in working with large distributed systems, file system, storage system is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, container technology Kubernetes, Docker, and Streaming intelligence Skills Flink, Pravega, Spark, Kafka.
