As a Product Manager for Hypervisors (vSphere) at Nutanix, you will have the overall responsibility for defining the requirements for efficient management and operations of the VMware suite of products when installed or used in conjunction with the Nutanix HCI platform with a specific focus on improving management, performance and usability of such products in connection with the Nutanix core infrastructure and data path services. In consultation with a number of different product teams and Solutions Architects and Engineers, you ll be the voice of our customers, defining features, working with Infrastructure Engineering to maintain Nutanix s HCI lead in the market. Product Managers must possess business and technical acumen in order to be able to bring features in their product to market. Product Managers must work extensively with customers while working cross functionally with Product Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Corporate Marketing and Alliance Partners in order to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that customers need. Specific responsibilities include: Understand the vSphere market and leverage this knowledge to produce a leading product offering to maintain Nutanix as the best HCI platform for vSphere and associated products such as ESXi, NSX - T, Horizon and others. Identify a variety of customer needs and use this information to define user personas, user stories, use cases, and product requirements for product features. Participate in the product feature planning process; ensure that the product feature set meets the requirements of customers and the marketplace. Work closely with Nutanix customers, developers, and key stakeholders including Engineering, Support/Services, Product Management, and Sales. Create content and deliver presentations to Sales, Sales Engineering and Customers on the features and benefits of those features Recommendations and Suggestions for Nutanix AOS and Nutanix product/feature changes required to optimize the experience of the VMware Suite on Nutanix Platforms Ensure VMware Suite Products requiring AOS/Nutanix Qualification is monitored and tracked Desired Qualifications: BA/BS in Product Management or Business. At least 1 - 3 years work experience in product management, product marketing, product engineering, sales engineering, IT operations or equivalent experience in the enterprise software technology industry. Hands on experience with VMware products is necessary. Ability to translate technology features into business benefits Demonstrated ability to develop creative/non - traditional solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to large audiences Previous experience interacting with and presenting to customers and prospects Understanding the needs, scenarios, and common deployments in the enterprise datacenter is highly desirable Strong team skills and experience to bring together diverse views Nutanix is an equal opportunity employer.
