Job Description

What you ll be doing. The Senior Project Management Lead will manage the project team responsible for all Verizon transition activities for major customer outsourcing projects. This position is responsible for portfolio management, delivery commitments and resources worldwide to ensure profitability for VZ is achieved, customer satisfaction is met, and global corporate policies are adhered to.Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as senior point of contact to the customer for all project delivery matters.
  • Overseeing all Verizon Business transition-related activities worldwide and across all delivery organizations.
  • Regular and proactive customer communications to ensure all customer concerns are addressed readily.
  • Overseeing all transition and transformation planning, execution, reporting, and related escalation management.
  • Overseeing all third party vendor support globally, requirements, costs, deliverables, and contract performance related to the project.
  • Defining and managing project activities to meet Verizon goals for financial performance.
  • Developing and managing deliverables to plan.
  • Documenting all processes.
  • Participating and ensuring all relevant governance meetings are held within contract framework.
  • Maintaining and publishing status for all projects in progress.
  • Developing all reports and distributing them per contract requirements.
  • Ensuring customer billing is properly created and sent in a timely manner as applicable.
What we re looking for. Youll need to have:
  • Bachelor s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Enterprise client experience.
  • ITIL Foundations v3, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • ITIL Advanced/Intermediate certification required.
Even better if you have:
  • A degree.
  • Seven or more years of project management experience delivering and deploying complex solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in customer enablement tools.
  • Familiarity with Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and network elements.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • The ability to manage and negotiate with internal and external organizations.
  • A track record of completing multiple complex technical projects.
  • International experience.
  • Direct experience with telecommunications/IT outsourcing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Clarity.
  • The ability to foster relationships and present information to C-level executives within client organizations.
  • Financial business acumen.
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
