Job Description

The Cloud Application Architect is responsible for providing technical leadership in support of ISC initiatives in cloud computing strategy. Cloud Application Architects design, oversee and get directly involved in the implementation of ISC Application needs from the underlying infrastructure needed to run the application up through the user interface. Cloud Application Architects take accountability for achieving desired outcomes and have a passion for supporting the high-quality delivery of technical projects. This includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application architecture, cloud management, and monitoring. Cloud Application Architect will oversee architecture and deployment in cloud environments, including public, government, and hybrid clouds.Responsibilities
• Drive architecture that is scalable, cloud-first, cost-effective, and increases business agility.
• Be the trusted advisor to define Architectural patterns for modernizing their applications to the public cloud.
• Support and coach your team on best coding practices, development tools, pathfinding, and surveys for technologies.
• Get hands-on and support your team in the implementation of complex business logic and algorithms.
• Translate the business requirements into technical requirements. Create and maintain the architecture documents.
• Develop a well-informed cloud approach and monitor the transition. Troubleshoots and resolves issues with coding or design
• Collaborate with the internal architect community and ensure organizational best architectural practices are followed.
• Participate in discussions with customers, along with the product team, to understand their technical requirements.
• Consistently strive to acquire new skills in Cloud, and DevOps technologies.
Qualifications
• Overall 12+ years of experience in software architecture, design, and development.
• 5+ years of experience in designing, and architecting the large-scale solutions
• Deep Experience in designing and building distributed applications
• Hands-on knowledge of Bigdata technologies, containers, API designing, and Event-Driven Architecture is a must.
• Deep Experience in building products/solutions/assets using cloud-based platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Very strong knowledge of modern cloud deployment patterns and architecture.
• Ability to build applications using cloud-native services/technologies is a must.
• Has experience delivering a couple of projects with cloud technologies related to IoT and Bigdata
• Has extensive experience with understanding business requirements and delivering HLD and LLD design documents
• Solid experience in SDLC practices and tools (DevSecOps)
• Strong problem-solving skills, and good knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Programming exposure in Java and or .Net / C#
• Excellent interpersonal, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
