In 2015 the company name was registered as ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL).ABB Energy Industries drives growth for customers while supporting safe, efficient and profitable operations with strong global execution capacity, an extensive service footprint and capabilities, and innovative digital leadership.This is a Senior Software Developer role, reporting to the Line Manager in Business Area Industrial Automation and located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL), a subsidiary of ABB. You will join a group of high-achieving engineers to lead and develop cutting edge industrial control applications for the Energy service industry. You will be contributing significantly to successful project results in technology and/or product development by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.Your responsibilities

• Analyzing and improving efficiency, quality and scalability of the products.
• Analyzing customer requirements, generating specifications, providing implementations and delivering working solutions along with Product Management, sales and engineering teams.
• Working with Development Manager, System Architect and Product Owner for defining scope, features and estimates of new projects.
• Understanding new features / use cases, existing code and implementing them.
• Participating in design discussions, documentation and reviews with ABB team as needed.
• Developing a workflow process, troubleshooting the software and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches.
• Driving and conceptualization of the design, development, testing and deployment of web and windows applications across the various product lines.
• Selecting of the technology stack and platform for developing the new products within Division.
• Collaborating in the productivity improvement initiatives like continuous integration and deployment, DevOps, architect review and proposals etc. for faster and reliable development as well as deployment of the Business Area (BA) products/solutions.
• Planning and making technical training for customer key users or internal team.

• B. E / B. Tech / ME / M. Tech with 60% and above in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Overall, 8-12 year of experience with at least 3 years in leading a technical team of size 6 or more. Must have architected at least 2 products.
• Experience in C#, .Net, .NET Core, Angular/React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, MVC, ASP.net, Bootstrap.
• Must have worked in products having interfaces with third party software and product involving proprietary algorithms.
• Experience in working with SQL, RDBMS, timeseries, NoSQL data base.
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience in building Restful APIs.
• Good understanding and preferably hands-on exposure to Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience in product design, architecture and development.
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environment with CI/CD tools.
• Excellent coding and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
• Understanding or experience in Docker / Kubernetes is an added advantage.
• Industrial Automation domain exposure is preferred.
