Job Description

    This role is for one of the Weekdays clientsWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Apache Flink to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale, real-time data processing systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable and high-performance applications that support real-time streaming analytics and data-driven decision-making.Key Responsibilities:
    • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java-based applications with a strong emphasis on scalability and reliability.
    • Architect and implement real-time streaming applications using Apache Flink.
    • Optimize data pipelines to ensure low latency and high throughput.
    • Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and other software engineers to integrate Flink with various data sources (Kafka, databases, cloud storage, etc.).
    • Work on performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting Flink jobs and Java applications.
    • Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of streaming data pipelines.
    • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote best coding practices.
    • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices in stream processing and backend development.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • 5-10 years of software development experience with a strong focus on Java (JDK 8).
    • Extensive experience with Apache Flink for real-time data processing.
    • Proficiency in working with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers.
    • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, multithreading, and concurrency.
    • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
    • Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
    • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, and automated deployment frameworks.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile development environment.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Beam.
    • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and complex event processing.
    • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
    • Contributions to open-source projects in the stream processing domain.
