Job Description

Job Summary:

Nuance communications, Inc. Bangalore India RD team is seeking a skilled and motivated senior software engineer who is innovative, curious and able to get things done quickly. The engineer will be responsible for design and implement web application using Microsoft tools and technologies. The candidate will have experience collaborating with remote colleagues and stakeholders.

Principal duties and responsibilities

  • Write and interpret functional and design specifications
  • Implement product features using latest Microsoft .NET frameworks and tools
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues
  • Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices
  • Mentor peers on enterprise application development techniques and tools
  • Perform peer design and code reviews
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues and also in a collaborative environment
  • Keep current with technology development within the industry and bring fresh ideas to the group, including adoption of new technologies
Knowledge, skills and qualifications Education: Bachelor s or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent Minimum years of work experience: 5+ up to 9 years

Required skills:

  • Strong development skills in C# and the .NET framework libraries
  • Experience using .NET Unit testing frameworks
  • Strong Knowledge on JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX
  • Excellent in WCF RESTful Services
  • Proficient in MS SQL Server
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

Preferred skills:

  • Working Experience with Node.JS
  • Working Experience with Vue.JS
  • Experience with Project Management tools: JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience in being an active member of an Agile/Scrum team
  • Familiarity with Behavioral Driven Development (BDD).
  • Experience collaborating with teams across multiple geographic locations and time zones
