Job Description

Senior Software Engineer - InfoSight for ServersAt Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), we live by three core values that drive our business: Partner. Innovate. Act. These values combine to help us create important work all over the world to advance how people live and work.The primary responsibility of this role is to design & development of Cloud Native SaaS application for delivering analytics services and AI models for the supportability of HPE Servers. The candidate should have detailed knowledge of building containerized microservices for deployment at scale. Should have good analytical, communication & presentation skills who can thrive in fast-paced environments. The candidate must have experience in Agile Methodologies & DevOps practices.A Candidate with the following skills/experience is most suitable for this role.Roles and Responsibilities.

  • Hands-on development with a strong quality focus, provides the artifacts of Code, Unit Test case, Design documents, etc.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
  • Proactively drives the development of new ideas and methods from the scratch.
  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Exercises significant independent judgment to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to junior employees.
  • Should have a strong desire for innovation
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 6-11 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
  • Deep Expertise in one or more of the following
  • SaaS platforms, stacks
  • Building Cloud-Native Applications
  • Micro Services Architecture
  • RESTful API
  • Rabbit MQ, Kafka
  • Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript (JQuery/NodeJS/Angular), JSON, Python (FastAPI, Flask), SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Provides design documentation, works with customers and internal teams to enhance the product, and defines requirements.
  • Able to work in a small team with rapid turnaround time and tight schedules
  • Knowledge of server hardware (especially HPE ProLiant) a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of learning new technologies, designing & developing software stacks.
  • Ability to analyze corner cases, timing issues, security loopholes, scale, performance, etc.
  • A strong desire to use Open Source tools as well as optimizing CI/CD pipeline.
  • Must be an independent, quick learner and possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
