Job Description

About the roleAs a Design specialist , you will be required to understand and analyze existing processes to advise on improvements through process or product changes yielding higher productivity of warehouse operators with better process quality. Process defined has to ensure that material handling guardrails are maintained along with efficient material flow in warehouses. Design specialist is responsible for effective utilization of space in the warehouses achieved by optimal facility design and detailed storage methodology guidelinAbout the teamDesign team is responsible for designing solutions for different assets (Fulfillment centre,, Mother Hub, City Logistics, Network, packaging) in order to drive future capabilities for bringing in cost, speed and reliability efficiency. This team focuses on designing solutions for Grocery vertical - FC asset. The team engages in thinking futuristic, game-changing and out-of-the box solutions that may not have been tried and carry a measured risk. The ever-changing e-commerce landscape assures Flipsters a larger-than-life experience in solving challenging supply chain problems and building avant-garde supply chain solutions. What you ll do:

  • Design and implement processes for warehouse operations.
  • Drive incremental changes in current processes to increase productivity and process efficiencies using operations concepts
  • Through data analysis identify operations development projects and define project charters
  • Initiate and drive operations projects
  • De-bottleneck day to day operational and process roadblocks by collaborating with cross functional teams involving Technology, Product, Operations, Analytics , Retail, IT, legal, tax etc.
  • Define success metrics for projects, monitor project pilots and ascertain project success/failure.
  • Through business cases present process solutions to the management
What you ll need:
  • Process design, re-engineering related, Supply chain logistics work experience.
  • Process design and re-engineering tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of warehousing operations
  • Understands principles of supply chain design and asset wise impact on end to end outcome
  • Thorough understanding of lean concepts
  • Good knowledge of Data Analysis tools
  • Problem solving skills
  • Comfort in working in unstructured environments and fast timelines
  • Program Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Access is desirable
