Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and selfdriven Staff Build and Release leader to join our team. As a Senior staff build and release leader, you will design and architect new products and solutions and also redesign current solutions to help meet demands of ever-changing business and technology landscape.

Digital Solutions engineering organization is a global cross functional team developing state of the art NDT software, IIOT and other relevant digital solutions serving the NDT industry. This position is open in the core engineering team that is predominantly based in Bangalore. This team drives development of the core technologies fuelling the growth of the Waygate digital business.

As a Senior Staff Build and Release leader, you will be responsible to:

  • Develop and own the CI/CD strategy for the program
  • Responsible for build and release activities. This includes delivery of internal, external and patch builds.
  • Sanity/Smoke testing the builds before delivering it to customer.
  • Identify and eliminate manual, repetitive tasks through automation.
  • Support and improve our tools for automated testing and release management
  • Establish Continues Monitoring strategy including performance analysis
  • Make technology choices to support department strategy
  • Look for automation opportunities and build scripts to automate tasks
  • Collaborate with Product Teams to implement end to end Build and Release process
  • Provide expertise in the quality engineering
  • Support the landscape optimization

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), with minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • Proven experience as DevOps/Release and Build engineer
  • Experience in Github, Jenkins, TFS and Ant, etc
  • Experience in shell and other scripting and programming languages like Python
  • Working knowledge of SonarQube and other code quality tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence engineers
  • Have experience managing release process on cloud platform like AWS/Azure
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
