18349 Senior System Administrator (Open)Position Type:Full timeLocation(s):IN.Bangalore.Office1Position Details:Job DescriptionResponsible for Remote administration of Windows production and non-production environments Must be able to prioritize and manage issues of varying complexity and criticality. Provide assistance with problem diagnosis and be able to resolve 90% of issues before escalating to the next tier level of support. Correctly decides when to escalate to more senior personnel during priority 1 or 2 issues that fall outside of their experience level. Will create and follow work plans and understand associated documentation and comply with Change Management policies. Understands the need for security; knows to ask for help with respect to security related issues or requests. Performs daily operational checks, reviews event management alerts and e-mails, and assists with automation. Performs server maintenance during approved windows, some of which are after the normal business day and on weekends. Supports On-Call operations to provide 24x7x365 support to maintain customer OLAs and SLAs.WORK SchedulesDue to the global support requirement, the GOC staff at the India location will follow the proposed work schedule:Prime Work schedules would be implemented with starting times being offset by three hours. For example:o First shift from 6:00 AM to 03:00 PMo Second shift from 12 PM to 9 PMo Third shift from 9 PM to 6 AMo Weekend oncall coverage from 6 AM to 6 PMIn addition, the following are also requirements:o Regularly Scheduled On-call Rotation: Scheduled on-call work is required to support priority customer calls for events associated with outages. Estimated hours for the total rotation would be at ~10 hours per month.o Scheduled Weekend Support Rotation - Scheduled weekend work hours are required to support system maintenance functions. These would include, but not be limited to, software patching, firmware and operating system upgrades. An estimated ~20 hours per month would be required for the total rotation.o Regularly Scheduled On-Call component that would include consultative duties would be required based on customer issues and problems. These hours are estimated not to exceed ~10 hours per month.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:6-10years of experience designing/deploying/supporting/maintaining/Managing Windows Active Directory Domain environments at an enterprise level Proficiency with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 and their R2 Class Operating systems Deep knowledge on Server Roles DNS, DHCP, File Server, Failover Clustering etc. Understanding in Network, storage and backup concepts Scripting: Experience in automation with PowerShell, Batch and/or Visual Basics. Experience with SCCM 2012 (System Center Configuration Manager) VMware and Chassis/Rack Management Experience with IBM Bigfix environment (also known as Tivoli Endpoint Manager) Knowledge in ITIL processes Ticketing tools Troubleshooting / Root cause identification Configuration and deployment of servers in accordance with all build processes Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve hardware and software problems and supporting systems. Evaluating the existing system architecture and offering suggestions to improve the integrity and performance of the system Capacity planning and Reporting Perform system improvements, upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures for server administration and appropriate use Possess strong written and oral communication skillsPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Cont.)Disaster recovery and business continuity planning, implementation and documentation Experience and skills supporting Active Directory and/or virtualization technologies (ESX) Datacenter Migration experience Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials: CCA or CCEA MCSE - preferred Bachelor Degree or equivalent technical experience,
