Job Description

We are now looking for a System Software Engineer.The NVIDIA Linux for Tegra software team is looking for senior software engineers who will have the opportunity to work with state of the art Embedded computing & artificial intelligence technologies built around the Tegra SoC & NVIDIA GPU. Youll have a deep understanding of Embedded Systems & software, Linux kernel internals, and user-space applications, with strong C/C programming and system know how. You will collaborating with an international team of hardware, system and software engineers in developing software for the next-generation of the embedded processors and SoCs.What you ll be doing:

  • Be proficient with Tegra SoC. This includes inter processor communications, cpu architecture, memory management, power and clock design.
  • Working with NVIDIA GPU, both integrated and discrete. And I/O bus interfaces such as PCIe, I2C, SPI, CAN, GPIO, HDMI Audio, Wifi, USB3.x, DP/eDP Display, QSPI, Ethernet.
  • Working on power management of the system solution.
  • Working with the Linux and open-source software communities
  • You will be working with multiple Linux distributions and processor architectures
  • GNU GCC Toolchain & Makefiles
  • Familiarity with bootloaders and complete system boot
What we need to see:
  • B.E/B.Tech/MS/M.Tech or PhD in Electronics/Computer Science Engineering
  • 2-8 years software development experience with a significant focus on Linux kernel development
  • Excellent C programming/debugging skills
  • Working experience with ARM architecture. Familiarity with ARMv8.
  • Desirable NVIDIA GPU architecture and software driver knowledge.
  • Strong system-level debugging experience & familiarity with board bringup and customer support
  • Ability and flexibility to work and communicate effectively in a multinational, multi-time-zone environment
  • Understanding and appreciation of computer system architecture and operating systems
  • Real-time or soft real-time OS and application programming experience (including MRG or Preempt-RT on Linux)
  • Self Driven. Technical leadership and mentorship experience
  • Shown experience bringing a new product to market and supporting it through its lifecycle
  • Basic scripting knowledge in languages such as Python, Perl, Shell etc
  • Excellent communication skill (verbal & written), Outstanding Teammate
