Senior Technical Project Manager/ Development Manager The company is presently looking to hire a Senior Technical Project Manager/ Development Manager who will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of the entire technical infrastructure of the company. Roles and Responsibilities The role of the Development Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third- party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Development Manager will also define the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. General Requirements The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, implementing and deploying large scale, high traffic, high availability, consumer- facing or enterprise web applications, and minimum of 2 years managing a team of 10 people. The candidate should be able to create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Minimum educational qualifications are a BE/ BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Full familiarity and extensive experience in the full software development life cycle is expected. The person must be highly capable of performing under tight timelines and be adaptable to the vagaries typical in modern software startups. The candidate must display poise and skilful execution. Technical Skills Hands- on experience with all aspects of modern Web application development, including: J2SE 6.0+ and Java EE 5+ LAMJ stack Java Web frameworks [Spring, Struts] Web UI development technologies [PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML/ JSON] Familiarity with open source implementations of these technologies is highly desirable.,
