It also requires an ability to be a productive participant in the development of software products, ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with frequent releases.Roles and responsibilities Develop customer friendly documentation, videos and other similar collaterals to industry standards and to appropriate audience skill level Collaborate with engineering and support personnel to determine technical information requirements based on personas, user stories, design documents, engineering specifications, and discussions Create documentation / video plan and share the progress with the stakeholders periodically Review and revise information based on internal and external customer feedback Participate in product improvement initiatives such as usability and process improvements Required skills 5-12 years experience in creating software documentation for native English users Excellent hold on English grammar Strong knowledge of Adobe Frame Maker (Structured) Ability to explore and analyze product features and leverage it for user documentation & video creation Thorough understanding of technical writing standards, processes, and their application Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with software developers, testers, support engineers, and doc team members Ability and flexibility to work with teams across different geographies Experience in documenting software products for technical audience Must be technically inclined to understand infrastructure, enterprise product technologies, and analyze documentation & video requirements Experience in estimating and planning, and multi-tasking Desirable skills Usability/user experience testing and documentation Experience in creating videos using tools like Camtasia Job: Engineering Services Micro Focus is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
