In 2015 the company name was registered as ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited (GISPL).ABB Drives is a pioneering technology leader, providing products and solutions to help our customers maximize productivity, safety and energy efficiency, with a focus on reducing impact on the environment.This is a Senior Test Automation Developer role, reporting to the R & D Manager in Business Area Motion for Division-Drives, located in Bangalore. You will contribute with own ideas to identifying, proposing and implementing innovative technology development and solutions.Your responsibilities

  • Participating in refinement meetings to understand the Variable-Frequency Drive (VFD) functional and system testing requirements and perform in customer-focused test automation development activities on drives firmware or application layer.
  • Maintaining the test defect logs captured during the testing and testing automation development of the assigned product.
  • Supporting Product Manager/ Owner in coordinating to provide and receive the technical inputs for the project and resolving the technical issues with the global architecture and development teams.
  • Creating and executing the release test descriptions and test plans for the scope of project being executed. If needed also involved in function and integration testing, based on the impact analysis conducted, in consultation with the Product Manager/ Owner arrive at a solution for the identified defects.
  • Resolving customer specific issues/complaints received for assigned products as per the agreement with the L3 and L4 technical support teams.
  • Visiting the customers whenever required for various support reasons.
  • Generating new ideas and participating in seminars and technical conferences.

Your background
  • M.E/ M. Tech or B.E / B. Tech in Electrical, Power Electronics or Industrial Drives.
  • 4-8 years of experience in working with Industrial Drives / VFDs (drives).
  • Good knowledge of drives testing, power electronics.
  • Good knowledge on drives applications, drives control loops, drives configurations and drives system topologies.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in drives commissioning along with good understanding of various communication protocols and drives auxiliaries.
  • Good proficiency in the C++/ C#.
  • Good knowledge on drives standard products and its firmware.
  • Basic knowledge on C#/ Python/ Robot framework.
