The ability to interpret data from a variety of sources including our web analytics application, order processing system, customer database, email service provider, online surveys, and ad servers into meaningful insight is crucial to the success of this position. Analyzing and documenting the impact of online marketing tactics, site changes, events and other key drivers of web visitor behavior Presenting web analytics to department management, business owners and web personnel Develop variance and regression analysis to provide optimization tactics for online merchandising and marketing initiatives. Support cross-business unit initiatives Key Experience & Skill Set Required 5+ years proven experience with web analytics and site optimization Bachelors or advanced degree in a quantitative field (mathematics, economics, statistics, or applied science) Experience with web analytics tools such as Coremetrics, Omniture and/ or Google Analytics Advanced Excel skills Experience using SQL, SAS, and/ or SPSS. Strong intellectual curiosity combined with a knack for recognizing correlations, trends and statistical irregularities Strong understanding of industry trends in online retail Should be a motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail. Demonstrated participation in social networks and blogs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding projects schedules. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
