ETS is responsible for driving the production, operations, and engineering of our data centers, voice and data networking solutions, mainframe servers and databases,distributed computing, wireless technologies, and associated end user capabilities.Core Infrastructure (CI) provides a stable, flexible, and resilient computing platform, and a service-based, agile environment. CI also offers access to the private and public cloud and enables secure self-service and automation.The Enterprise Computing Unix Operations Level 3 Encryption team is responsible for maintaining a diverse plant of Unix and Linux, ensuring that any servers handling important Data are fully encrypted and remain encrypted throughout their lifecycle.This team serves as the highest level of escalation for supporting Level 1 Command Center as well as Level 2 Unix/Linux Administrators. The team is further responsible for developing procedures and tools around Local data Encryption that enable Morgan Stanleys distributed plant to maintain compliance at scale effectively, by eliminating or parallelizing repetitive operational tasks. The team is tasked with ensuring ongoing compliance to the firms strict Data Encryption standards in the Unix environment. Team members frequently interact with engineering teams and collaborate on the testing and certification for new processes and tools related to Linux Localdisk Encryption.Unix Operations Encryption is also responsible for working with various customers in a number of different business units on retrofitting Encryption to existing Production servers. Oncall support and weekend work are also part of this role.The ideal candidate will need strong communication skills and be highly organized. Strong technical skills are a must as well as the ability to think outside of the box. The ability to identify opportunities to increase optimization, planning, and executing. This individual will need to be a self-starter., *Experience: 5-10 years.Required Skills:* Enterprise Level Experience * In depth knowledge of Linux (Red-hat).* Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies* Programming level knowledge of at least Shell and Python.* Knowledge of Dell Openmanage, KMIP and Encryption are a plus, but not required* Ability to debug complex problems.* Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.* The individual should have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and high pressure situations for outage handling, management or resolution.
