Job Description

    The RoleAs a Sourcing Manager Sheet Metal Components, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing suppliers for precision sheet metal components. This includes brackets, enclosures, chassis reinforcements, mounting structures, and structural panels.This role requires deep knowledge of stamping, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and surface treatment processes, along with strong supplier negotiation and management skills. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure that sourced sheet metal components meet high durability, strength, and cost-efficiency requirements.What You Will Do
    • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for sheet metal components, ensuring cost, quality, and supply reliability.
    • Identify and manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers specializing in stamping, laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and precision fabrication.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure supplier capabilities align with product strength, weight, and performance requirements.
    • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules to optimize cost, lead times, and supply reliability.
    • Ensure supplier compliance with automotive durability, corrosion resistance, and structural safety standards.
    • Monitor supplier performance, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and drive cost-down strategies without compromising quality.
    • Develop a risk management framework to mitigate disruptions in sheet metal supply chains, material shortages, and lead time challenges.
    • Support supplier audits, validation processes, and manufacturing process optimization to improve efficiency and reliability.
    • Work with materials engineers to evaluate new alloys, coatings, and light weighting techniques that enhance performance while reducing cost.
    • Ensure that sheet metal components meet required corrosion resistance, impact strength, and weight optimization standards.
