ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Prepare and maintain all shipping documents and schedule outgoing freight as required. * Route freight to provide the most economical transport of goods to meet customer requirements. * Request freight quotes as necessary based on customer needs and promised dates. * Keep track and label all FG inventory as it is delivered from the production lines. * Prepare products, spare parts, return parts, finished goods, and other items for shipment following established procedures for packaging, crating, boxing, wrapping and labeling.* Resolve issues that may arise in shipping, including, but not limited to; freight damage, shipments routed incorrectly, short ships, re-consignment of shipments and lost inventory. * Load trucks with outbound freight, by using forklift or pallet jack. * Verify weight and dimensions in order to select shipping method. * Communicate effectively and professionally at all levels within the organization to include customer service, sales, customers, employees and managers. * Perform other duties as assigned If this matches your interests and aspirations in our shipping industry send your bio-data through ncareer.dc@gmail.com
