As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation. You ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. As an SRE you ll be focused on running better production applications and systems.Responsibilities:Develop, test and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortemsWork with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releasesPerform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actionsBuild and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patternsLead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demandsParticipate in the 24x7 support coverage as neededThe Content Management provides server, client, and application engineering and administration of enterprise wide applications based on Sharepoint, ,Net, MS-SQL, and Filenet infrastructures. We provide technical consultation and guidance on projects including purchase/build decisions and critical design issues. We develop and communicate standards, guidelines, and service offerings.This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in an software engineering disciplineMastery in at least two or more software languages (e.g. Python, Java, Go, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing , and software deliveryAdept in the development of automated tools, systems, and services in multiple technology domainsAdvanced knowledge of one or more infrastructure components (e.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute and storage systems)Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting componentsWe need a skilled production engineer with:- 5+ years experience in a large (200k+ users) DevOps production engineering environment (preferably a financial institution). Be prepared to demonstrate automation abilities.- 5+ years experience supporting Sharepoint applications, including:The entire SDLC.On-prem (Sharepoint 2013, 2016, 2019)Sharepoint Online.Performance tuningCo-located disaster recovery (for on-prem)CAML, SQL,- MS-SQL Experience (you won t be a DBA, but you ll need to work with them).- Linux Fluency.- Fundamental understanding of Active Directory (including ADFS).- Communication skills esp. being able to describe complex technical concepts to non-technical end-users as well as working with developers to communicate best practices andAdditional qualifications (good to have)- Experience in a regulated financial firm.- Experience with Ansible, Cloud Formation, or other Infrastructure-as-code tools.- Experience with Splunk- Experience with Websphere (at least basic knowledge)- Experience with creating/adding self-healing disciplines to applications- Experience with Filenet,
