Job Description

As an experienced Site Reliability Engineer, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run.   • Designs, writes and delivers software to improve availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of our Digital Workplace products.
  • Runs, maintains and improves the product against established Service Level Objectives by applying software engineering practices.
  • Define and implement production support models with high level of automation across multiple products
  • Design and Implement end to end automated solutions to automate manual operational work in areas of Incident & Change management, Monitoring and Alerts, Operational Intelligence & Telemetry.
  • The workload for the position would comprise 50% software development/tooling and 50% Infrastructure Operations (the proportionate allocation might vary)
  • Enforce adherence to standards in areas of code quality, secure coding, test coverage, monitoring, logging, exception management, operability, and maintainability
  • Engage with development team in defining right architecture and infrastructure for product reliability & scalability.
Support the development team throughout the life cycle to help build/provide inputs for performance & reliability, controls, instrumentation & signaling needsTroubleshoot, Investigate, Analyze priority incidents, conduct blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of the incidents, prevent reoccurrence.Build an Analytics model around patterns of production incidents and performance indicators, develop automated pre-emptive actions such as Self Checks and Self Heal.Coach & Mentor junior team members as requiredParticipate in a shift model and On Call rotation using a follow-the-sun modelQualifications:Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science/EngineeringMust Have:8+ years of overall experience in Application Support and development with proficiency in any of Java/Python/C# along with experience in one scripting language (e.g.: Shell scripting, PowerShell) and SQL.3+ years of experience in identifying and implementing tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Nagios, Prometheus, Jmeter etc.2+ years of incident resolution experience in a large scale operations environment comprising of web applications, web services, APIs etc.Experience in implementing CI/CD solutions using tools like Ansible / Kubernetes/ Docker / Jenkins etc.Experience in identifying and implementing tools across Monitoring, Operational Intelligence, Telemetry, Operations/Process Automation for a variety of applications built using different technologies and platforms.
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment
Desired:Good working knowledge of Cloud Engineering would be desirable. Understanding of private cloud principles and exposure to public cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, GCP or similar technology is preferredKnowledge administering application servers, web servers, and databases would be desirable (Tomcat, WebSphere, Nginx, Microsoft IIS Message Queues etc.)
  • Experience in Security testing & tools would be an added advantage.
