  • Build strong relationships with the application development teams specifically with technical team members to develop shared vision and execution for application event management.
  • Partner with the application teams to analyze complex application logic and design and communicate elegant and pragmatic event management architecture
  • Collaborate with internal teams around technical task identification along with work estimates and skills required to assist project managers with task scheduling and resource requests
  • Design, develop, support, test, and debug code in an agile environment
  • Demonstrate technical problem-solving skills to address team s most difficult challenges
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and improve existing applications and systems.
  • Adhere to and drive enterprise standards and best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the team to ensure an integrated, seamless architecture. Coach and mentor team members to increase their understanding of and place within overall enterprise architecture design
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellent customer service, and teamwork
  • Demonstrate active involvement in cross-team meetings as it relates to architecture and planning
  • Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the organizations products
  • Provide feedback around industry trends, potential architecture improvements, application and customer business trends and customer s enterprise architecture vision
  • Drive a DevOps culture change and implementation of development best practices
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 15+ years of software development - most of that time spent working with C# or Java
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery and automation practices and tools (we use Jenkins, Rundeck and Chef)
  • Knowledge in object-oriented analysis and design with the ability to practice across multiple languages
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Groovy, Ruby, XSLT, ksh, bash, )
  • Experience with Windows and Linux
  • Ability to demonstrate and lead others in sound software development practices and techniques
  • Proven ability to define and implement robust architectures
  • Ability to work within a cross functional agile team to develop, design and architect solutions in a highly iterative fashion. Involves close collaboration with product owners, architects and developers
  • Experience with continuous integration, application deployment, and operations automation is a plus
  • Polished communication skills, broad technical knowledge and high self-confidence
  • Excellent listening, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
