Experience : Overall 8 years of work experience , with at least 3 years in big data platformsThe Principal Software Architect shall lead the development of a big data management and analytics platform on the cloud , and serve as the link between the needs of the Product , Analytics and Engineering teamsResponsibilities:Carry out the requirements analysis for a product concept , platform selection , design of the technical architecture and create the execution plan for engineering team Lead the development , testing , deployment and maintenance of the proposed solution. Thought leadership in the form of whitepapers , blogs , social media interactions and participation in industry conferences Technical expertise: Experienced in leading the full life - cycle of a Hadoop solution for data management , machine learning and recommendations Experience with one of the large cloud infra like Amazon Web Services. Skilled architect with cross - industry , cross - functional and cross - domain know - how Hands - on experience with Hadoop applications (e.g. administration , configuration management , monitoring , debugging , and performance tuning). Experience with Hadoop components like MapReduce , Spark , Flume , Kafka , Hive , HBase , MongoDB , ZooKeeper and Sqoop. Firm understanding of major programming / scripting languages like Python , Java and / or R. Experience on Spark streaming to bring various API data on Hadoop Should have managed HBase or other NoSql Databases for real - time processing , latency and stitching Experience with data security and privacy Desired skills:Ability to inspire and lead an engineering team through the development life - cycle Ability to benchmark systems , analyse system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them; Clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms; document use cases , solutions and recommendations; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; be a self - starter , who thrives in a fast - paced agile development environment,
