Job Description

The main objective for the development team in Bangalore is to secure that our clients have a stable and adaptable platform. As our new member, you willhelp build a new team with enthusiastic and experienced team members where your previous experiences will help form the team. Together with your new team, you will be responsible for delivering enhancements requestedby our clients as well as driving improvements in the platform. The Pre-trade risk platform is a, close to real-time, high volume platform that requires extreme performance where we count nano-seconds in our designs. We placevery high demands on code-quality and we expect you to do the same. We want team members with a passion for SW engineering and we would love to learn more about your engagement for example in FOSS projects!Your role and responsibilities:As a Specialist Software Developer, your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions using Java 8/11 deployed in a cloud solutions. You will also help and be mentoring your more junior colleagues. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries, primarily in Sweden.Design, develop, troubleshoot and implement new features in the Nasdaq Pre trade Risk.Troubleshoot customer requestsProactively participate in the teams continues agile process improvementsParticipate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews.Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.We expect you to have:At least 6+years of software development experience.Extensible experience and expertise in writing server side code using Java 8/11 with fundamental frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot and Guava.Working knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.Experience with Maven similar build system.Experience with Container technology (e.g. Podman , Docker) .Working knowledge of Linux and scriptingExperience in mentoring Junior developersExperience in code reviews and giving feedbackDemonstrable experience in design of new system solutions using best practicesDemonstrable experience from writing unit tests with Junit5Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science with focus on Software EngineeringIt would be great if you haveExperience as a scrum masterExperience in graph algorithmsExperience of GitLab and/or GradleExperience in Java 17Experience with ReactKnowledge of the AWS platform and K8sExperience working with a message bus as architectural element,
