The Associates Fraud detection team is seeking a talented, technically strong and highly motivated Software Development Engineer. The Associates program manages the affiliate marketing business for Amazon. This program drives multi-billion dollar revenue for Amazon and manages one of the largest publisher networks. The Associates Fraud Detection team builds systems to detect fraud in the Associates program and tools to manage publisher data and communication. As a part of the Fraud Detection team you will be working with engineers, scientists and product managers in the team, and coordinating with the Associates Platform engineering teams and the business teams in all countries with Amazon retail presence.We are building large-scale real-time transactional systems, batch processing systems, web crawling and storage platforms. We need to process bid requests in the orders of tens of billions per day with our real-time and offline systems. To handle data at this scale, we use cutting-edge open source technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Redis and Amazons cloud services like EC2, S3, EMR, DynamoDB and RedShift. We are not tied to one technology. Instead, we use what is best suited for the purpose. All of our systems tend to be loosely coupled, communicating using synchronous and asynchronous messaging, leading to a classic distributed processing architecture. All our systems need to also implement complex machine learning and optimization algorithms at scale.We are looking for talented Engineers who enjoy working on creative algorithms, building large-scale systems and who thrive in a fast paced fun environment. As an engineer you would design business critical systems, write high quality code and mentor other engineers. You should have owned, designed and delivered multiple products. You have deep knowledge of Java/C++, Object-oriented Design, Service Oriented Architecture and you are passionate about building massively scalable solutions and distributed systems.,
