Job title: Software Engineer 2

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of multi - tenanted modern data warehouses, business intelligence, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and visualization platform
  • Own feature development from conceptualization, definition through delivery
  • Exhibit technical expertise with strong design, development and testing skills
  • Leverage standards and best practices for security, data isolation, quality, integrity, extensibility, adaptability, scalability, availability and understandability of this platform
  • Provide support for existing implementations as needed and resolve consistent deep - rooted issues with the system
  • Follow change management and change control processes
  • Take ownership, research, follow up and resolve complex challenges faced by the team across all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Compile and write technical design documentation related to data warehouse design and architecture

Skill requirements

  • 4 - 5 years of experience in building distributed data - intensive applications
  • Experience in Hadoop (MR, HDFS, HBase/Phoenix), Spark, Kafka, Nifi, Druid, and Kylin
  • Exposure to Big Data security concepts and tools, including understanding and usage of Kerberos, Ranger, and Knox
  • Exposure to clustered deployment techniques and containerized deployments desirable
  • Exposure to a database preferably MySql and ability to model & design databases for high - performance data - intensive applications
  • Good understanding of API centric architectures
  • Good understanding of building performant RESTful Services and web - apps leveraging Spring, Hibernate, Core Java, JEE, JMS, JSP, HTML, Angular
  • Exposure to open source components for Design, Development, Reporting, and Testing for enterprise applications
  • Build tools like ANT or Maven
  • Experience building multi - tenanted data platforms preferred

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tech / MS in computer science or equivalent from a recognized university/institute
  • 4 - 5 years of experience in building distributed data - intensive applications
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a role which should include building solutions using Big Data technologies
