The group will help roll out new features to the India market, and has embarked upon some new and exciting opportunities. The engineers in this team also have a unique opportunity of working closely with the local India business team, customer support teams, product owners and other global product and engineering teams. The scope of problems to solve for our Indian customer base is large, and this team will be in the center of all the action for growing and scaling PayPal s payments platform in the world s largest democracy. The Role: The role is for a Software Engineer with iOS development experience, working on building futuristic and delightful mobile payment features and experiences for PayPals diverse Indian consumer base.A customer focused, hands-on iOS Developer, responsible for designing, implementing and delivering state of the art payments solutions for the Indian market. The ideal candidate is an individual with strong experience and awareness of the payments industry trends, with an knowledge on design principles and building apps that are intuitive and user-friendly. Business acumen, hands-on technology skills, positive work ethic and a collaborative mindset are key to the success of this role.Key Responsibilities:

• Be a hands-on individual contributor, who can design solutions, code them, as well as review the deliverables of other team members.
• Work closely with our product and design teams to customize the PayPal experiences for iOS
• Drive technical designs to consensus and approval as a leader within PayPal s cross-functional technology team.
• As a software engineer should put customer first as part of day-day work.
• Ensure that the design and implementation adhere to defined specs and processes.
• Collaboratively work with cross-functional teams across the globe.
• Own end-to-end quality of deliverables during all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Understand the payments business and how technology decisions impact the business. Sense evolving business trends and translate them into needs into technology solves.

Technical Craftsmanship

• Built high traffic Mobile experiences, and service-oriented Apps using iOS Technologies
• Experience in refactoring existing code base and in understanding existing implementations to decide to refactor or rewrite.
• Focus on quality and ensure responsiveness of apps developed.
• Experience mobile development frameworks, multi-threading , memory management and caching mechanisms.
• Experience designing systems spanning multiple domains and functions.

Technical Hands-on Skills

• Strong programming skills and expertise in iOS development.
• Solid understanding of the iOS Development life cycle & APIs
• Proven experience in developing and publishing interacApps
• Strong programming skills on both Objective-C and Swift
• Proficiency in developing frameworks and SDKs
• Knowledge of dependency management tools like CocoaPods
• Knowledge of UI design using Storyboards & XIB
• Knowledge of unit/function/system testing tools such as XCtest, Cucumber, Appium
• Knowledge of SCM & CI tools such as Git, Jenkins/Hudson
• Experience with agile methodology is preferred
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL/ Oracle etc.

Educational Qualifications

• BSCS or equivalent + 3 years of experience / MSCS + 2 years of experience in software development
