These platforms process billions of events a day providing fault tolerance, high availability & scalability. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be part of our journey in modernising Search Platform capabilities with next-gen features geared towards efficiency and improved end user value.Primary Job Responsibilities:Develop high-quality software design and architectureSpends most of the time coding and efficiently produces exemplary and thoroughly tested code for most challenging features.Works closely with Product Owners / Architects to develop, test, deliver large scale distributed systems.Produces clear, well-documented code for product features.Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve productsAutomate tasks through appropriate tools and scriptingPrototype ideas quickly using cutting edge technologiesSolid communication skills & proven team player.Job RequirementsBachelors / Masters in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in Software Development.Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures, knowledge of object oriented design, Design Patterns and multi-threaded programmingStrong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.Qualifications:Hands on Java Programming Expertise with a specific focus on large scale distributed systems.Working experience with Spring Boot and Reactive programming paradigms like RxJavaSolid technical foundations and problem solving skillsExperience working with Linux/Unix scripting & GITGood team player, able to effectively work across multiple teams on solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements in a fast-paced environmentMotivated and interested delivering results, especially in the area of writing highly performant, reliable, and maintainable code.For more than 20 years, PayPal has remained at the forefront of the digital payment revolution.
