Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analysis of existing applications and workflows and identifying issue areas and recommending possible solutions.
  • Coding, Compiling, Unit testing, integration, packaging and deployment of developed software.
  • Participates in the technical design of Equity Portfolio Management & Compliance application
  • Implementation of business requirements, technical recommendation within timelines agreed with the end users.
  • Collaborate with other developers to share development solutions, experiences, challenges and best practices
  • Ensure overall quality of deliverables is consistent with defined standards
  • Strong experience in a formal development environment.
  • Strong core java/rest services experience is required
  • Strong experience in multi-threaded programming and object oriented design is required
  • Strong Server side framework based development experience is required
  • Strong experience building connected, service-oriented applications is required
  • SQL/NoSQL development experience is preferred.
  • React JS & reporting framework (i.e. BIRT) experience is a plus
  • JIRA, SharePoint, continuous integration tools (Jenkins) experience is a plus
Business Knowledge and others:
  • Ability to work directly with users and technology partners at all levels
  • Deep understanding of Global Equity markets
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Good understanding of Equity Reporting, Risk reporting, Attribution is a plus.
  • Ability to produce documentation at all levels, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating systems knowledge with technology skills
  • Dedicated and conscientious
  • Demonstrated ability to produce results in complex environments
