We are shaping the present and the future at Neustar and are seeking TENXERS who share the same DNA.The Software Engineer of DNA Java is a data and technical leader responsible to design and develop the next generation of web services that serve up data and analytics. The technical leader in this role will work closely with various teams including data acquisition, data products & data sciences to build the web services platform exposing these services to the end customers. The role is based out of India at the Neustars offices in either Bangalore or Hyderabad. This role will report to the Director of Data and Analytics. Responsibilities: Leading the team, designing and developing the web services platform. Prototype, program and help ship the next generation of SaaS products that lets users access data, services and data models seamlessly. Build a scalable web services container architecture as well as the various services including data access, data cataloging, search and discovery, data transformation etc. Run along the cutting edge with an all- star lineup of experts in computer science, software engineering, marketing science, operation research and marketing strategy. Skills and Knowledge: Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering discipline (Masters degree preferred) 4 - 8 years of experience in server- side development At least 4 years of hands- on experience in Java, J2EE, SOA / REST server development for enterprise software and preferably SAAS products. Experience in a scripting language Python / Ruby will be important. Hands- on experience in using various authentication technologies like SAML, OAuth, SSL etc. Hands on experience with one or more web and application server technologies such as J2EE application server, Apache Tomcat, nginx, Jersey server, OSGi and other relevant frameworks Prior working experience in SQL & databases Hands on experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools including Chef, Jenkins etc. Passion to seek out new technologies, innovative ways to approaching a problem and providing technical direction to junior engineers Fast executor with a track record of delivering complex projects on time; responds under pressures of time and uncertainty Strong written, editing, proofreading and oral communication Strong inter- personal communication and collaboration skills Nice to have: Experience with the latest data and digital ecosystem related to marketing, advertising, security, internet of things and related domains is a plus Some experience in Hadoop & Spark as well as AWS will be a plus.
