Job Description

Development on the ServiceNow instance will include changes to workflows, business rules, UI pages, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, catalog items, and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions. You must have a detailed understanding of ServiceNow functionality and how all ITIL processes can be implemented in Service Now.Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Configure/Code ServiceNow applications based on business requirements to facilitate the rollout of new functionality, interfaces, modules, and other items such as UI and Workflow configuration
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and more complex IT solutions
  • Perform unit testing and integration testing on different environments to ensure code quality and performance.
  • Use Automated Test Framework [ATF] to automate regression testing of complex workflow processes
  • Liaise with federated development teams to guide them through the development, testing (ATF), and release processes specific to PayPal ServiceNow Platform
  • Work with AMS support on knowledge transfer and release readiness for releases from federated teams
  • Agile Scrum Development, participation in Scrum related meetings, and maintaining stories/backlogs
  • Handle issues encountered on production. For e.g., Log Debugging, Notification issues, User Administration, Integration issues, etc.
  • Ensure the latest release of the ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
  • Participate in ongoing production support, interaction with HI Support, and end-user support if required
  • Experience in cloning, patch upgrade, and release upgrade activities
Technical Skills
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience to ServiceNow.
  • Hands-on experience in ServiceNow scripting including Client Scripts, UI Policy, Business Rules, Script Include, Script Action, UI Actions, Flow Designer, Workflow, and various activities, UI Script, ACLs
  • Experience in ServiceNow Automated Test framework (ATF), should have automated at least a couple of regression suites
  • A fundamental understanding of ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, Service Portals, and REST APIs
  • Working knowledge of Discovery, Service Mapping, and Virtual Agent
  • Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, HTTP, etc.)
  • Experience in Integration (Integration Hub, SOAP Web Services, Scripted Web Services, Direct Web Services) with 3rd party tools is desired
  • Exposure in component integration (SSO, LDAP, etc.)
  • Experience with Team Development and ServiceNow CI/CD framework is a plus
  • At least 1 year of experience working in an agile development environment (i.e., scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate should have a bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 4+ years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced high-performance environment collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Proven ability to maintain a professional demeanor and customer focus when handling complex issues
