• This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, includingHadoop Developer is responsible for eliciting requirements and designing/coding Big Data warehouse systems, using the latest technology approaches. Prepare technical documents. Developing complex map-reduce jobs using Java and Pentaho ETL. Support the applications BAU and DEV/OPS processes and activities Role will be T-shaped developer with intensive java and Pentaho ETL development, maintain and support existing Big data project/framework as primary and should be willing to perform other roles as part of an Agile team. Candidate must have the ability to work effectively in a demanding multi-project, multi-team environment. The successful candidate will have expertize on OOPS and design patterns. Qualifications:8+ years minimum of database technology experience with concentration in Very Large Databases 4+ years design/architect for large scale data warehouses and BI solutions, encompassing industry standard methodologies. In-depth knowledge of multiple RDBMS, warehouse systems Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop/HDFS/Hive/Hbase/Impala & ETL tool integration experience with Hadoop file system desiredExpert scripting knowledge (SQL/Shell/Perl) Strong experience with advanced design strategies and optimization techniques, using ETL tools such as Pentaho Data Integrator (also called PDI or kettle) , Informatica , Data Stage or Ab initio and willing to work in PDISound hands-on experience on big data technologies (Hadoop/HDFS/MR/Spark) & ETL tool integration experience with Hadoop is desiredDevelop and communicate best practices and coding standards ensuring adherence to sound OOPS and Java/J2EE standards T-Shaped /Broad skilled software development professional with deep skills in certain areas such as testing/analysis. Good to have knowledge on Agile programming techniques such as test driven development, spec by example, Scrum and KanbanGood to have deep understanding of Hadoop InternalsGood to have experience with large multi-terabyte, warehouse systems.
