Job Description

The India Equities Team is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join their team in the capacity of a DevOps Engineer. The person will be part of the best-in-class Reconciliations platform team and will work with a highly inspired and inquisitive team of technologists who are already developing and deploying applications to the highest standards. The team is responsible for providing a multi-asset Reconciliations platform that will cover cash, swaps, listed options and futures across Front, Middle and Back Offices.The successful candidate must be comfortable working under a high pressure and challenging environment, solving business and development tasks via technology at a fast pace without compromising on quality or performance.Key Responsibilities

  • Work across entire software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment and handover to support teams.
  • Be part of the cloud migration journey.
  • Build out and enhance various environments.
  • Manage requirements, specifications, and design documents.
  • Handle release and stakeholder management.
  • Implement test automation.
  • Involved in L3 support for Dev, UAT, and Production environments.
Essential Skills
  • Strong analytical development skills, solid understanding of computer science fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in using a scripting language such as Python.
  • Comfortable working with Linux based environments and having good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
  • A strong passion for infrastructure as code and associated automation and provisioning tools like Terraform, Ansible etc.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD pipeline build, improvement and management.
  • Experience with GIT, Jira, Confluence, Wiki.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • The ideal candidate will likely be qualified to degree level in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a team with a strong software development process (build, test, deploy).
  • Knowledge of KDB/q is a big plus.
  • Preferred experience in Cloud Infrastructure and related technologies.
  • Good understanding of FIX and other financial messaging protocols is preferred.
  • Experience in using Jenkins pipelines using containers for Java, NodeJS, .NET and with building CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) using other software solutions is a plus.
