Job Description

Title: Software EngineerAs a member of our Sales & Research Technology Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. You ll work in a collaborative, trusting, thought-provoking environment one that encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions that are in the best interests of our customers globally.Role / Team description:We re looking for a software engineer who is highly passionate about application design and programming and aspires to contribute towards our firms application modernization and digital transformation agenda. You will part of the Revenue Engineering team, a fast-paced, high energy and diversified group with 60+ technologists globally. You will be building software solutions to transform applications to public cloud AWS and mondernize data platform. You do not necessarily need banking experience but must be highly motivated with a track record of success in software development.Responsibilities:You will be responsible for the development of new features and be accountable for the overall success of deliveries including analysis, design, development, deployment, optimization and day to day operations. You will be involved in but not limited to

  • designing conceptual/logical/physical data models
  • building Cloud native applications with microservices and deploying to AWS
  • building data injection, transform, consumption solutions for AWS
  • building reusable components or libraries for future use
  • automating tests and deployments alleviating the need for manual intervention
  • collaborating with other technology teams and product and design team
  • supporting software solutions that are used by 2000+ sales and traders globally
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in one or more technology domains
  • Experience in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals
  • Business facing experience is definite plus
  • Must have proven technical expertise in:
    • Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Maven
    • Good understanding of Oracle or other SQL databases
  • Nice to have
    • Cloud and Microservices
    • BigData
    • CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control tools like BitBucket and Git
    • Hands on experience in RESTful architecture and developmen
