Job Description

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will join a team of skilled software QA engineers to drive Danaher s Digital transformative initiatives in IoT, Data and Analytics (Machine Learning) applications targeted at multiple industrial segments such as Life Sciences, Diagnostics, Industrial manufacturing and environmental sciences. You will be responsible for understanding the domain of your application in detail and come up with test strategy and planning. You will work with Software development engineers to understand overall architecture and how each feature is implemented. You will create test plans and test cases, execute on thorough testing of cloud backend services for specified functionality and test user interfaces for specification conformance. You will also track bugs, follow through resolution and report on testing results. Based on your thorough understanding you will develop Test Automation as features are rolled out and adhere to key quality metrics.Responsibilities

  • Test software for high performance, reliability, and usability as a vital part of our Agile-based software development process.
  • Design and develop QA test automation/frameworks using Java or Python scripts
  • Assist in requirements analysis and design of new applications and methodologies in conjunction with colleagues and customers.
  • Help define and drive a strategy to advance our test automation framework.
  • Create, optimize, and execute functional, integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance test plans and cases, and generate test artifacts.
  • Report on product quality, test coverage, and test execution metrics using Jira
  • Help resolve identified quality issues.
  • Support and enable continuous delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement of testing practices.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party software and service providers involved in the infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance of the infrastructure to the Danaher s Quality Management System
  • Manage and prioritize work for assigned projects to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate and coordinate work as needed with multi-site development teams.
, Requirements
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution of large scale, distributed cloud-based software systems to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in writing clean scripts/code quickly. Preferably Java coding.
  • Experience in continuous integration (ex: Jenkins)
  • Strong organizational skills, able to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results.
  • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings to report on test progress, metrics, issues, and risks.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation framework development (ex: robot framework, Gatling, JMeter, Zap).
  • Energetic and passionate about being successful and open to different technologies
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills; Attention to detail, self-motivated, creative and flexible; Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • A proven team player and problem solver with the ability to work collaboratively to brainstorm, uncover key issues, troubleshoot and recommend/implement solutions
  • Travel
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Must Have technical skills in:
  • Selenium
  • AWS/Azure Infrastructure
  • Distributed system experience
  • Database experience (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Strong Linux/Unix Administration
Preferred technical skills in:
  • Chaos Engineering
  • Performance testing
  • Security testing
  • Kubernetes
