nullYou are responsible for

  • Responsible for Linux configurations and distribution
  • Responsible for Hardening of Linux based on regulatory standards
  • Understand the Business needs and come up with Technical solutions to provide best-in-class Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment environment for OS builds.
  • Drive for automation wherever applicable to improve productivity and reduce Business pain points
You are a part ofPhilips Research Digital in Bangalore focusses on driving the digital and solutions transformation in Innovation through capabilities in Digital, Architecture & Platforms. Linked to global CoEs like the Chief Architect Office (CAO) we drive the mission to accelerate SW Harmonization efforts at Philips, in the areas of architecture and technology enabling Philips transition to an Outcomes Company by addressing the Quadruple Aim: Improved Health Outcomes, Improved Patient Experience, Improved Staff Satisfaction and Lower cost of Care .The team takes ownership for creating of new platform assets, technology evaluation, creating reference architecture, strategic APIs, developing reusable building blocks aligned with architecture manifesto and accelerating platform adoption by the businesses.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience as Linux administrator preferably on RHEL and CentOS. RHCE certified.
  • Should have understanding of Configuration Management practices and Deployment.
  • Strong understating of Package Management (rpm, nuget , etc)
  • Strong working experience in tools related to Application Lifecycle Management, like TFS, Git, Jenkins.
  • Strong working experience in any of the Scripting languages (shell, perl, python etc) and configuration management tool Ansible.
  • Should have experience with writing build scripts, automation of daily/nightly builds & deployment
  • Hands-on experience on building repackaging and building ISO images, VMDK files for virtual machines. Hands-on experience on using VmWare environment.
  • Hands-on Experience on content management tool like RedHat Satelite Tool or Foreman tool.
  • Good knowledge on STIG standards and hands-on experience on OS hardening, black duck scanning.
  • Hands-on experience on Jfrog artifactory.
  • Hands on experience on configuration management tools like Git
  • Hands-on experience on usage of Docker, Kubernetes and hands-on experience on containerization and orchestration using YAML files.
  • Hands on experience on any Defect management tools preferably usage of Microsoft TFS.
  • Working with multisite teams, Quality conscious and Process & customer Oriented
  • Self-starter and quick learner and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with Can do attitude.
  • Ability to handle conflicts.
  • Ability to stay focused on the target in an ambiguous situation.
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Experience in a regulated industry.
  • Ability to mentor juniors
Good to have skill set
  • Usage of PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.
  • Usage of cloudfoundry and hands-on experience on containerization and orchestration using YAML files.
  • Understanding of Open Source licenses
