Job Description

*JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACTThis role provides technical leadership & governance in SAP Basis area for projects and operations. Support Basis strategy and influence best practices. Manage risk identification and mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.Ensure Basis team strategy supports value creation and manage the Total Cost of ownership (TCO)Maintain influential knowledge of industry trends and innovation in SAP Basis design and related technologies.Take decisions and influence partners for best practices that fit Cargill.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESSAP Project deliverables

  • Review architecture design with SAP Technical and Solution Architects
  • Provide SAP Basis, DB and Infra oversights to assigned Projects
  • Review the Project requirements and work with Partners for the deliverables
  • Collaborate with various project team members (TGRC, Functional/RDC/DBT, Development, Basis, BI, Middleware, Business, etc.) to ensure that appropriate security controls are designed to meet both business and TGRC requirements, leverage security strategies
  • Collaborate with various project team members (TGRC, Functional/RDC/DBT, Development, Basis, BI, Middleware, Business, etc.) to ensure the partner delivers the application to the requirement.
  • Hold Basis project workstream meetings and update status for Project managers.
  • Request and analyze Onapsis security scans against project systems; drive remediation of security gaps that are identified as result of the project.
  • Perform project validations of Basis, Infra configurations in SAP production systems
  • Review capacity of the SAP applications and provide recommendations based on future deployments and growth trend.
Accountability in Basis area for Sustain operations
  • Ensure SAP systems are operating optimally
  • Review the System Health, Even management alerts and Incident trend with Partners
  • Escalate to Service Delivery Managers and Technology Leads if any risks identified to SAP systems and provide appropriate remediation
  • Review Database growth with the Partners and ensure Archiving & housekeeping is performed regularly
  • Work with Change and Release management team to review the changes going into the SAP systems
  • Work with SAP partners, Infrastructure partners to reduce the Planned downtime on the SAP production systems
  • Review RCA for unplanned downtimes for production systems and hold partners accountable to ensure unplanned downtimes are reduced per SLA
  • Review EWA reports, DVM reports, capacity assessment provided by partners, provide approval to action on the recommendations.
  • Ensure SAP applications, kernels, OS, DB are patched regularly per the SLA with the partners.
  • Work with TGRC team and partners to act on the Security Vulnerabilities identified in the SAP applications, OS and DB.
  • Respond to audit inquiries as assigned. Provide explanations, evidence as needed.
, *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Systems,Computer Science, or any other discipline
  • Total SAP experience 10 + years
  • At least 5 years of leading a team or playing a direct client facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience of support partner collaboration & governance
  • Experience with interacting and managing effective communications with IT leadership.
  • At least 3 full SAP implementation cycles from Build to Go-live support.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in SAP Basis for S/4,ECC,HANA, Oracle, BW, PI/PO, Portals and Solution Manager.
  • Archiving and Data volume management
  • SAP S/4 conversations and Version upgrades
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
  • SAP on cloud services experience.
