Position Purpose & SummaryThe Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain (CASC) enterprise has embarked on an ambitious journey of creating and maturing a data platform for all enterprise data and henceforth consolidate and streamline the reporting and analytics usage across the enterprise.This position will be responsible for definition and execution of the solution architect to deliver data/analytics products for CASC s data platform program.This role will be working very closely with Product owners and Data Architect to understand the product backlog and define the overall architecture in line with the product vision. This position will also execute product architecture reviews to ensure alignment with Cargill s target architecture (CDP) and ensure development standards and guidelines are followed.The Solution Architect will provide support to the lead architects and developers in development and maintenance of reference and target architectures for Cargill.Principal AccountabilitiesProject Solutioning & Delivery: This role is responsible for the design and delivery of the technical architecture of DBI solutions in addition to the overall solution architecture for each assigned project. Ensure that the project solution architectures align with the enterprise DBI target architecture positions and patterns Ensure alignment to established documentation standards and design patterns Participates in performing current state assessments and creation of DBI Roadmaps for key stakeholders Comfortable spanning multiple projects at the same time 60%Architecture and Governance: Use technical expertise and knowledge of architecture to benchmark with third party organizations to identify and incorporate best practices into the overall architecture strategy Proactively appraise and modify current architecture to identify deficiencies, research alternatives, and determine improvements Manage and review architecture solutions, ensuring they are aligned to Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards, quality and principles, as well as meet EA guidelines, common solutions and services are leveraged and that they meet financial targets (cost and benefits). Participate in Solution Architecture Reviews as the primary mechanism of architecture quality and compliance assurance. 30%People Leadership: Manage and coach data engineers on their career development Provide inputs and/or Perform annual appraisal of data engineers/sr. data engineering in the team Technical training for the team on developing the skills based on work requirements Managing escalations for the work delivered by the team Guiding the team towards successfully delivering the work and support them on challenges at work place. 10%,
