271975BRSolution Design Manager ERP IT - Shared ServicesJob DescriptionThe Solution Design Manager is responsible for coordination of SAP Basis operational events and technical project activies including alignment with stakeholders and vendors. This role includes oversight of technical change management, outage coordination and approvals, technical project management including patch/ release upgrades, interface and application monitoring, and technical data archiving. The Solution Design Manager is also responsible for ensuring software versions/ patches are tracked and proactively updated, adhering to compliance requirements, and to drive continuous improvement/ innovation to maintain a high level of service quality.Create and support execution of overall system activity plan Ensures technical consistency of activities and schedules of activities across the Alcon ERP landscape. Acts as gatekeeper for all planned technical system adjustments and ensures a consistent overall landscape status Evaluate impact of system changes (e. g. SAP notes, Service Pack / En- hancement Pack upgrades) Coordinates and aligns activities with stakeholders and teams Ensure reliable SAP technical application monitoring and subsequent resolution of identified issues in a highly complex, highly integrated, and mission critical SAP landscape Effective and high quality handling major technical incidents Planning/ execution/ controlling of complex technical project and rollout activities Is key contributor of the yearly realease cycle plan- ning/ coordination/ execution for the ERP landscape Evaluate and implement new technologies (e. g.
