Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:Dashboard Creation & Maintenance:o Design and develop user-friendly, visually appealing Splunk dashboards.o Optimize queries for performance and scalability.o Create reports, alerts, and macros to support business requirements.o Develop knowledge objects, including dashboards, reports, alerts, and macros.Data Collection & Ingestion:o Design solutions for ingesting data via forwarders, APIs, syslog, and other methods.o Onboard data to Splunk using Universal Forwarders, REST API, HTTP Event Collector (HEC), SNMP, Syslog, Splunk Add-Ons like DB Connect, and custom scripts.o Configure data parsing, indexing, and transformation pipelines. Splunk Development:o Develop custom Splunk apps and knowledge objects (Dashboards, Reports, Alerts, Macros).o Automate processes using Python scripting and Linux/Unix shell scripting.o Create SPL queries and optimize them for performance.o Work with Splunk ITSI to develop correlation searches, notable event aggregation policies, and create services and KPIs. Integration:o Integrate Splunk with various monitoring tools and applications such as ServiceNow, Cisco DNA, Microsoft SCOM.o Ensure seamless data flow and visibility across platforms. Automation:o Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline Splunk deployment, configuration, and data ingestion.o Use scripting (Python, Shell) to automate monitoring tasks and troubleshoot issues.o Integrate Splunk with automation tools to enhance operational efficiency.Performance Optimization:o Tune Splunk architecture for scalability and efficiency.o Perform troubleshooting, logging, and data analysis to identify anomalies and optimize system performance. Collaboration & Agile Delivery:o Work within an Agile framework, utilizing tools like Jira, Teams, and Git.o Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
