Sr. Business Application Developer Role Summary: As a senior business developer with Sales Programs & the Cloud Strategy business, you will leverage your technical skills, business acumen, and creativity to extract and analyze massive data set, build analytics-ready datasets to surface insights and key business metrics. The ideal candidate is deeply analytical and detailed-oriented, but capable of thinking independently. Coordinate with team members for other business deliverables. Analyze on business requirements and provide reports as required using software skills to solve business problems. Responsibilities: i. Partner closely with business to understand the business requirement and provide data-driven solutions and recommendations ii. Design and develop application/data components for reporting and analytics, ensuring integrity of analysis data by developing the requirement specifications using data tables iii. Coordinate with business planners to translate business questions into data models iv. Work hands-on on various analytics problems and provide thought leadership on problems that Sales Programs & the Cloud Strategy Teams are working on v. Automation of reports using VBA Excel/ similar tools. vi. Attend business meetings as required collaborating with team members. vii. Apply technical skills and experience to provide solution to technical and business problems and achieving business objectives. viii. Good Interpersonal, analytical and written communication skills Job Requirements: I. Experience: 6+ years of experience required with a history of developing innovative & quality business solutions that added value to the business. Experience with Marketing/sales vertical is a plus II. Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. III. Skills: Experience handling diverse datasets (structured and/or unstructured) is necessary Proven ability to dig-in and understand the data and to leverage creative thinking and problem solving skills to create new data models using any software tools Strong on Excel Macros, Pivots and Excel formulae Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics platforms (like Tableau/ OBIEE) would be added advantage. Experience in Web application development Oracle APEX desirable. Strong knowledge of querying language (SQL) to analyze and manipulate data using all type of joins, sub-query, SQL functions, DML and DDL concepts is a plus Effective working alone and as part of a team. Strong interest to train & learn new technologies. Good command over Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Should be good at analytical thinking & breaking down large problems into solvable chunks. Must be able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and prioritize work under aggressive timelines.
