Job Description

  • Design and develop embedded hardware and software modules for mobile robots -power distribution, motor controllers, sensors interfaces, battery and charging systems
  • Participate in the overall system architecture design of mobile robots and related systems
  • Ensure products comply with performance, reliability, and functional safety requirements
  • Work on converting prototype designs to production designs including the creation of
  • DFM material such as detailed BOM, assembly instructions, etc.
  • Design testing procedures for the overall system and individual modules
  • Actively work on firmware optimizations and maintain firmware revision control
  • Create, maintain and review the documentation on a regular basis
  • Understand the system as a whole and proactively resolve integration issues
Skills
  • At least 5+ years experience in the field of embedded hardware and firmware development
  • At least 5+ years experience in the mobile robotics or EV industry
  • Practical knowledge in domains like power supply design & isolation techniques, motors, drives, batteries, etc.
  • Direct hands-on experience in working with BLDC motor control systems is an added advantage
  • Strong in C, C++ programming languages with experience in writing low-level microcontroller firmware meeting strict coding standards
  • Experience in the interfacing of communication protocols - UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, CAN
  • Knowledge of RTOS and related concepts
  • Hands-on experience on any schematic & PCB Design tools like Eagle, Altium, KiCAD, etc.
  • Strong experience in component or module selection based on technical requirements
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC and other equivalent compliance testing standards
  • Prior experience with ROS is an added advantage
