Job Description

    The Amazon Aviation Security team is looking for an Aviation Security executive to join the team as the Sr. Manager, Aviation Security - India. The successful candidate will be responsible for aviation security needs for the Amazon dedicated aircraft operating in India including compliance, oversight and investigations.The successful candidate will develop and provide all stakeholders and business partners with necessary tools, resources, and training to build and maintain compliance with BCAS and DGAC regulations in India, IATA Aviation Security standards, engage and support internal Amazon teams in ATS, AIR and LP. This position will require strong communication and partnership with Senior Leaders, managers, peers and team members, both within Amazon and with its carrier partners and ground handling vendors, regulatory agencies, airport security teams as well as with other business partners.Key job responsibilitiesAs a Senior Leader on the AvSec team, your responsibilities will include managing ambiguity through your expertise and judgement to determine the right stakeholders to form decisions. You will hire & develop the right workforce strategy to meet long-term process targets. You will lead multiple layers of managers and specialists with limited guidance through performance management utilizing individual and team goals.Key Job Responsibilities: Engagement with Amazon s security measures. Support the development of policies, procedures, training and quality assurance to ensure that Amazon remains fully compliant with regulations at all times and result in a world-class program Lead continuous improvement efforts to meet the needs of internal customers. Develop technology to support AvSec, using best in class applications. Utilize the Security Management System principles (SeMS) to track all findings and corrective actions and build comprehensive security plans to mitigate risk and cultivate security. Develop reporting standards and automatic mechanisms for reporting the health of security business to all business stakeholders. Develop a team of results-oriented professionals that execute the credentialing plan to high standards., 7+ years of increasing responsibilities in Aviation Security, specifically, ICAO, IATA, IOSA, and regulatory programs Experience managing multiple direct reports. University degree.Preferred qualifications Experience as an airport executive Experience in leading airport operations outside the security department Experience in working with Insider Threat Teams and Programs Master s degree. Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Professional certifications Demonstrated ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy. Excellent verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Senior Leaders. Strong writing skills; will be required to write analytical reviews for critical business decisions. Strong background of working with local, federal regulators and influencing aviation security authorities and associations toward conclusions that benefit previous employers. Demonstrated leadership of airline and airport operations, and security requirements Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
